        Wow! New customer here and the service with Superior Fuel so far has been amazing. Love that they are a local business and not a chain of operations. In less than 2 weeks they were able to switch out our tanks and get us set up. Very reasonably priced as well.

        When we decided on Superior Fuel Co. for our propane needs we didn't know they would essentially bait and switch us. We have a 500 gallon tank which we fill each summer. There has always been a $50 tank rental fee assessed annually as part of our contract. We now received a letter stating that we don't buy propane often enough and therefore the annual fee is going to $350! We are your average household/consumers and not a business. What a joke!

      Hello Derek,Your tank lease contract states that we have the ability to charge a low usage fee. Your specific lease agreement stated that you will use 500 gallons of propane per year. The past year, you used 272 gallons, which is why we are charging you with a low usage fee. Due to the rising cost of doing business, we are forced to make tough decisions to ensure we can continue to provide our customers with the propane they need, when they need it. The tank sitting in your yard has gone up 3x in cost since we set it back in 2018. This is an expensive liability for our company that we simply are not making enough of a return on. The letter that was sent contains 3 options for you on how you'd like to handle your account with us moving forward. Again, we apologize for this increase. It is not our goal as a business to increase our rates for our customers, but sadly, this is the reality of the world we live in today.Please do not hesitate to reach give us a call if you'd like to go over your options on the phone.
