Godfather's Pizza

We dined at Godfathers Pizza in The Pottery Place Historic Center in Red Wing, MN for the first time in years. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they serve 12 inch GF pizzas! My son ate his way through the daily pizza lunch buffet! The restaurant was busy with locals (families, area workers on their lunch breaks and passerbys). The employees were kind, efficient and ambitious. The historic charm added to the enjoyment (ie. Informational signage, photographs of the past, brick interior, etc.). Lastly, the nostalgic pinball machine, video games and candy dispensers brought me back to my youth (1980-1990s). We are looking forward to coming back to this unique Godfathers Pizza location soon! Kid-friendliness: Had a kids Birthday party here and they really liked the pizza. The game room/arcade was a hit with the kids along with the free drink refills.

If you are heading for the lunch buffet and it's after 12:20 DO NOT BOTHER. It's not like if they have a big rush at 12:30 they throw on more pies to feed the hungry and paying customers. They have a limited number of pies they serve for the buffet and if you're not there early then you're out of luck. Buffet ends at 1:00 sharp. The owner guy will tell you there's nothing left but you can order off the menu. Go to Libertys!
