Very responsive when making the sale of a new water treatment system to remove iron and soften water from our well. Impossible to reach after that initial transaction was complete. The system they installed has failed twice in the first two years we've had it in service. With the first failure, we reached Superior Mechanical (thinking that was our original installer) and they billed us 1/3 the cost of the original installation and left it to us to recover the warranty costs. We couldn't reach Superior Water Conditioning to recover those costs. We've learned these businesses are tied together somehow yet won't resolve the others' customer issues? The second time our system failed, we called Tonna who got us fixed for a fraction of the cost of Superior and with a much better experience in terms of customer service (they text you a name and photo when someone's coming to your house, they answer their phone and they get back to you within 24 hours!) We've also had good experience with K&S though I don't know if they do water treatment. We quoted Tonna on the original system and saved about $100 on a $3000 solution going with Superior. We made a huge mistake going this route. Please avoid the headaches we've gone through and choose a shop with integrity, good service, and reasonable prices. There are several to choose from in Rochester but this just isn't one of them. 12/18/23 update: One of the owners of Superior Mechanical (not Superior Water Conditioning) has since reached out to acknowledge and apologize for their part in this frustrating and costly experience. This was completely unexpected and quite heartening to have someone come through and take responsibility - more than they needed to in fact - for the way we were treated as customers. Though largely out of their control, they've taken ownership of the service failure and even offered to reimburse us. Superior Mechanical deserves a huge kudos for this uncommon display of integrity and customer care going above and beyond to make things right. Still no contact from Superior Water Conditioning and they keep my 1 star rating and should be avoided.
