Okay, for all of you out there looking for a clean, quiet, and fabulous apartment, look no further, Renaissance Box is the spot. The building has been recently renovated within the last time 10 years, and let me tell you - they did a great job. They even kept some of the original architecture. I have lived in several apartments over the years: the good, the bad, the ugly, and the scary. This is, by far, the finest apartment I've ever had, and the longer I've lived here (five years so far), the more I love the apartment, the community, and the neighborhood. Lowertown has everything to offer, such as restaurants, parks, food trucks, Farmer's Market, shopping, museums, theatre, art galleries, and even a top-notch veterinarian a block away. I couldn't survive without... Central air that I control myself, (and I was so glad that it was the kind of central AC that gets icy cold). Lightening-fast maintenance -- the maintenance guy fixes it once and does it right the first time, so he doesn't have to come back a bunch of times. I love that. Dishwasher!!! Brand new washers and dryers, they just put them in a hot second ago. Virtually sound-proof apartments. With how the architecture was constructed, I can't hear a thing from above, below, or from the sides. Elevator. Fitness Room. Artist Studio. Beautiful courtyard with a community garden. Location close to restaurants, parks, a grocery store two blocks away, Farmer's Market, and all that Lowertown has to offer. Your very own storage space and it's pretty big, clean, and very secure. Large community/party room with a full kitchen and comfortable furniture. (Thats just a small sample of what they have to offer!) What really makes this place run is the Property Manager. He works hard to make sure the building is a safe and enjoyable environment. I've never had a property manager who listens and communicates as effectively as he does. It's worth living here just to have him as your Property Manager. He is also proactive and knowledgeable of resources to assist the community. The entire staff is kind and respectful. It's such a breath of fresh air to have these personable and resourceful people as the go-to for my apartment personnel. Best of all, I love that I can leave and know that no one will be going into my apartment without my permission and that I know that my apartment and things will be respected by the staff. I had a traumatic situation in an apartment where I used to live where the property manager and maintenance guy would go into my apartment on an almost daily basis if I wasn't there, or if I was. It was such a stressful time, but now all that stress is gone because here, they never enter without my permission, and I truly feel like this is home.

I have worked with the staff at Renaissance box for the past 6 years as a social worker. The management has been supportive, inclusive and overall very professional to work with. I am grateful that apartments like this are available in St Paul.

I've been working in St Paul and Minneapolis with affordable rental properties and management staff for more than ten years, helping people access affordable housing. I've been inside a lot of apartment buildings on both sides of the River. Renaissance Box is among my favorites for its spaciousness, great views, and exceptional management staff. I've housed two people there in the last two years, both of whom are happy with the placement. I've also worked with a lot of different apartment managers over the years. I recall only a handful who carried out their tasks with exceptional skill and dedication. Renaissance Box's Eric Wiley is among the very best of these.
