Kal Construction and Design

What a nightmare! Being a woman homeowner Ive had my fair share of dealings with misogynistic men in construction, but this one takes the cake. I have never been treated as poorly as I was when I employed Kal Eleffendi, owner of Kal Construction and Design in St. Paul MN, to head up my full house remodel after a house fire in February. This contractor is extremely unprofessional in the way he deals with clients. He was very disrespectful and made inappropriate comments toward me, yelled at me when I asked questions, made very little progress in the nearly 5 months on the job, caused additional damages by pure negligence, refused to be transparent with costs, refused to listen or take direction from me resulting in numerous mistakes that I was charged to have corrected, the list goes on! Next time youre looking for a contractor or home renovation professional, do yourself a favor and avoid Kal Construction and Design and his subcontractor, Rivera Quality Construction aka Rivera Quality Renovations.

I was so happy to have found and work with Kal Construction! Observing their process and work-flow proved to me that Kal and his team are the very best in home remodeling and construction here in the Twin Cities. From the design table to execution and cleanup, their work is flawless and easy-going with exceptional leadership. I was so satisfied in working with their team this summer on several projects that far exceeded my end-result expectations including but not limited to plumbing, interior/exterior painting, electric, home remodeling, framing and roofing. Thank you, Kal Construction & Co! You guys are the best. 10/10

My wife and I were very pleased with the work performed by Kal and his crew. Very responsive from the estimate, scheduling and work performed. Our new roof and siding project was professionally installed and the cleanup of the site was excellent. The project manager kept us informed and was always available to answer any questions. We would highly recommend Kal Construction and Design to anyone requiring residential contractor services.

Kal has done two major home projects for us, a complete basement remodel and a screened-in outdoor patio with fireplace. Kal's team is very professional and pleasant to work with.Both projects more than met our expectations and were done at a reasonable price. He offers good design ideas and is careful with the customer's money. I've recommended him to others who have been equally satisfied.
