I have been going for about 3 years. The building is recently updated and the office is calming. Therapy here provides a safe space to explore anything. They can guide you through family ruptures, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief etc. EMDR is offered here. highly recommend.

Overall a negative experience. Online intake forms were not functioning and despite office staff being aware of the issue they continued to request the forms be completed. Multiple people requested the same information. There doesn't appear to be communication or sharing of information between the intake staff. The therapist showed up 5 minutes late, and was unaware of what the purpose of the appointment was. They began the session with an explanation of insurance - no introduction, no welcome, nothing. They didn't even ask for our names. After this unwelcoming start and a lecture on how insurance works we decided to stop the session.

Super easy to set up a first appointment with them. Britt is a great therapist, super easy to talk to, and offers great advice and tools. Ive only ever had video appointments, so Ive never been to the brick-and-mortar clinic itself. But, my online experiences with this clinic have been great so far!

I had an initial appointment with Colleen in October, and she scheduled me for two follow-up appointments: 11/5 and 11/19. She literally walked over to her computer and said she'd scheduled them right then and there. I didn't get a reminder email before 11/5, so I called to check if my previously-scheduled appointment was still on the calendar. I was told that I wasn't listed for that day and if I could have mixed it up with a different day. I said I was supposed to have a follow-up on 11/19. The person on the phone said I actually didn't have any appointments scheduled. I assumed I just fell through their cracks and decided to go elsewhere. Then, I get a reminder email about my 11/19 appointment. I'm extremely confused at this point, because I was specifically told that I did not have anything scheduled on 11/19 or at all with MidWest. I just called and asked what was going on. They said that the appointment for 11/19 was made on 11/5, when I last called. I tried multiple times to explain what happened, but the person on the phone clearly wanted to blame me. She said that they couldn't have told me that I had a future appointment scheduled, because it was only just scheduled on 11/5 (even though I was told by Colleen, physically making the appointment herself, that it was scheduled back in October). The person on the phone then said, "so were you not planning to come to this appointment all along?" SERIOUSLY. I just told her multiple times that I was told by someone in the office less than 2 weeks ago that I didn't have an appointment scheduled. How could I actively plan not to come if I was literally told I had no appointment scheduled? She just kept explaining how I was wrong and she was right, but she finally just said that she cancelled the appointment for me. This is pretty disorganized and disrespectful treatment. I would not recommend MidWest unless you get pictures/screenshots/something in writing about your appointments; otherwise, they won't hold to them. And just blame you afterwards.
