The Winkin' Rooster

Winkin Rooster is great food for a really affordable price. We also used them for a corporate conference and got really great feedback on the catering. There was an issue with our catering order and they fixed it immediately and compensated us for the issue. We will use them again after a great experience.

I went here because it was so highly reviewed. However, I found myself greatly underwhelmed. We ate in but we're confronted about bringing in outside drink. Some health code thing. Oh well, but as we were eating both me and my partner found hair in our food. Maybe selective health code adherence. The food was decent and the prices were OK but I'm not sure I'll be back. Edit for owners response: It's a three star review. You talk to a lot of reviewers about taking responsibility, perhaps you've read a lot of Jocko Willick. I encourage you to take that responsibility inward and see what it is about constructive feedback that irks you. The drink policy is unusual and likely intended to drive add on drink purchases. That's OK but not everyone will like it. I also didn't think the food was great (definitely was never asked) and did find hair in it. That's a fair time to give three stars. I hope the best for your business in the future!

Edit: I've been here so many times I can't even count. And each time is a great experience. Doug (owner) is amazing and so is everyone else. Prices are pretty solid. Every sandwich comes with chips and they have local soda that is hard to pass up. Keep up the great work Doug and crew! You got a lifer I've had them twice now. The first time I had a pastrami and swiss and the owner recommended swapping out the mustard for a sweeter spread and it was AMAZING. Second order, I just finished it, was a Ham, Egg and Cheese bagel and I reordered the Pastrami (with the mustard this time) and I was blown away with that breakfast bagel. I honestly couldn't wait for lunch to eat the sandwich and it was even better the second time. If you are going to support a local business, the Winkin Rooster is THE ONE. If Google allowed more than 5 stars, this is easily a 10/10
