Another great experience with Island Tile! Our first project with Island Tile was a master bath remodel. The bathroom looks fantastic and we were very impressed with the quality of the work. Our second project was an outdoor L-shaped bar with built in grill and a gas fire pit. Lex put us in touch with another great contractor, Shawn Wolkerstorfer of Wolkerstorfer Contracting-Stacy, MN, to do the concrete paver patio. Shawn did a great job with the removal of existing landscape rock and installation of drainage, 4 concrete footings for a pergola and concrete pavers. Lex knew we planned to build the bar and fire pit base frames ourselves and was very accommodating with coordinating his schedule with ours. He was always available to answer questions and give advice on the base preparation and stone selection. Lex and Jake poured the concrete countertop for the bar and fire pit and even provided a tent to protect the project from the elements as the concrete cured. Lex did an incredible job of sanding and polishing the concrete tops which were later stained and sealed. Jake and Stefan worked in brutal 90 degree heat for several days as they installed the natural stone on the bar and fire pit. We get endless compliments on the beautiful custom mosaic they created. We continue to be impressed by the quality craftsmanship and impressive work ethic of Island Tile. They will be our first choice for any future project and we look forward to working with them again.
