Urgent Care for Adult Mental Health

If I could give a negative grade I would. First, I want to warn lgbtqa community members! BEWARE, this is a very culturally incompetent organization over years time and multiple experiences continues to fail! As a member of this community already experiencing marginalization, Ramsey County continues to take the low road. I currently have peer counseling through Ramsey County. I have had many consecutive crisis including a terminal ill Eds diagnosis. I acquiesced and asked my peer to assist I. Getting immediate crisis response team help. She asked for info from my therapist. This was on 3/21/24. After 24 hours on no response I reached out! To my peer, who engaged her supervisor. After several more days and no response I reached out again. Still no response. It was determined they had not received the paperwork. No one suggested to try to get what was needed brought another means. Its literally okay to leave you hanging(no metaphor here). My therapist was gone due to spring break, still left without help. No ability to problem solve((I was in Minneapolis once and in crisis), I called crisis response, they were with me in hours). On 4/124 my therapist was back. Paperwork resubmitted. During therapy the ombudsman for mental health called, I stated that I think weve figured it out. But noon today, nothing!!! I called the ombudsman who took a report and told me to call crisis(a historical disaster), I did, I said, what is going on, my doctor, my therapist, my caseworker and peer are all trying to get me crisis response. The bitter lady on the end of the line said, why do you need crisis, you have tons of resources. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She said there was no one. I asked to speak to another worker. She said I could call back and take my chances. I reached another worker. Who was of little help. Indifference, li competence and cruelty are the norm at Ramsey County Mental Health!!! They are toxic, damaging, create greater suffering and crisis, and should be shut down. I am unlikely to work with them n any capacity! My health, both mental and physical and my dignity as a marginalized member of society is far too important than to let their bullying worsen my demise. Now that my days are numbered, I choose not to be tormented by this poor excuse for a mental health center. Two weeks!!!!!! And NO CRISIS RESPONSE!!!! The citizens of Ramsey County DESERVE BETTER! Shut it down! Its toxic, with toxic people!

The crisis line staff did not care and told me I was not welcome to get help. I'm disappointed.
