After seeing the end of Minnehaha Creek at Minnehaha Falls and the Mississippi, I wanted to see its begin, too, and visited Gray Bay Dam. There's a nice boardwalk along the dam, and we saw many rich houses. You can see the dam section that regulates the flow into the creek, with the camera that's used to record the water level. Due to less rainfall in recent years, both Lake Minnetonka and Minnehaha Creek have less water than people like, and I've heard the Water Commission is petitioned to let more and less water flow :-/

Wonderful place to see wildlife, and lots of information about Minnehaha Creek.

Grays Bay Dam Park is so beautiful. Walking trails and some parking. Fishing looks possible but I went there to take pictures. Love nature.
