Switched from Walgreens to here because this place has my medication that Walgreens never seems to have. Quick service, friendly people, Ive found my new pharmacy.

Edited: fantastic service, truly on your side, amicable, friendly, effective. They will fill within minutes what Walgreens will make you wait weeks for. The lady who answers the phone may not always know the answer, but she will find out. I implore you, if you use a chain pharmacy, give these people a shot for a month or two. Youll notice that all the problems you had before are just gone, as if they had never been, and it will stay that way - you may not even realize how terrible your experience was before until you do business here. This is the only pharmacy I will use in Columbia, or actually for anywhere in a radius of 90 miles around here. They have more than earned my loyalty and business, and I believe they have my best interest at heart above even profit. Truly kind people who truly do their best to make your life just a little easier. It is rare in this day and age for a pharmacy to try so hard to help you when its easier to just say well go somewhere else if you dont like it. I have had a couple small mistakes or mishaps. The stunning thing to me was that I was immediately apologized to, the mistake corrected, and apologized to again. And the truly amazing thing is that the mistake in question will NEVER happen again. I have nothing but respect for a business that runs in this manner. And quite honestly, I owe them more than one apology myself, but they dont seem too concerned by it which makes me glad that they value me enough to think of me as a person, not simply a customer. They take their role in our medical system seriously and first and foremost, they are there to help you and keep you from harm. Support small businesses like this one. They not only are less expensive than major chains, they care more. They try harder. They take to heart the maxim of go the extra mile. Moving my business to this pharmacy has been one of the best choices I have made medically speaking in my entire life. If I move away, if I am still within driving distance, I will still use this pharmacy. They are intelligent, and even when circumstances arent their fault, theyll try their best to help. I recently had a doctor make my appointment the same day as my refills, at 3 in the afternoon no less. I was so concerned I would be left without medication and for me that is a nightmare. I waited after the appointment for their usual text confirmation and waited until 4:30pm, hoping they would get it done. I called and was told yes sir, we have it ready for you now, you can come get it before close. I cant explain how much that meant to me. To know that this place has my back and will always consistently deliver that same standard is priceless. It goes beyond business. It means they will have a customer for life so long as I am able to continue my patronage. To the staff here, thank you for your professionalism, patience, dedication, and service. I would gladly lend any of you a hand personally as you have made my life much easier and allowed me a peace of mind I never had prior. I acknowledge Im not the easiest to please, and Im so glad to have found this place and know I will never have to worry about their part of things getting done - they can be relied upon to do the right thing in every situation. For the record, this review opinion was formed for over a years time. That should tell you how consistent they are over time.

I moved here recently from Mobile, AL and Walgreen's would not accept my former doctor's hand written prescription because they said it was out of their servicing mileage range??????. I have used Walgreen's for 30 years in Mobile, AL and could not believe they would not accept a hand written precription but they did do auto refills on two of my previous prescriptions from the same doctor after I had changed my resident address . This is the most goofy thing I have ever in my life heard so I contacted my neice at Columbia Discount Drugs to see if they had any issues with taking my new prescription from my former doctor's last visit which was a week ago and they filled it with no issues. So now I am moving all of my business from Walgreen's to Columbia Discount Drugs and saying "goodbye" to Walgreen's stupid rules. I give Columbia Discount Drugs a 5 Star rating for this issue!!!

My family has used this drug store for years. We have never had any issues until the last 4 or 5 months. Since then, the service has become HORRIBLE. EVERY single time we have had scripts filled in the last 4 or 5 months, something has been left out. We live 45 minutes away from the store and its not easy to make multiple trips because they cant get the orders correct. While there are still one or two women that work the counter/window that are still just as friendly as can be, most of the new help that is hired has an attitude when you call or pick up your scripts. I dont know why the service here has continued to decline. I previously took my business elsewhere but decided to give them another chance. That was a bad decision and me and my family will be finding another drug store to use. I only give them a 1 star because 0 wasnt an option.
