This cannot be illegal if you're telling the truth Kevin Hamilton handle two of my cases. The first time I went to him he had a full staff everybody was professional. I got hit and totaled out I had full coverage excellent client no criminal good driving record was hit by a company guy that was suspended license. The second time I advised him I only wanted to do 33 1/3 and he agreed we signed a contract. After a year we did mediation no staff no heat and the defendants was from his hometown which was meridian. I defended myself well he didn't have to say anything open and shut case when we settled he took 40 percent which was an extra 15k never called when I was injured and after surgery he defaulted on a contractual agreement.

It is unfortunate, however, that your negative review is primarily based upon your feelings about the attorneys' fees earned on your second case back in 2017. The Hamilton Law Firm only collects a fee if and when we recover for our clients, and if there is no recovery, you pay nothing for our services. This is referred to as a "contingency fee." As indicated in the client contract, the amount of the fee is a percentage of the overall award or settlement instead of a flat dollar amount. Because of that, the actual dollar amount of the attorneys' fee will be dependent upon the amount secured for the client. The more we recover for our client, the more that the fee is in a dollar amount. That means both the firm's interests and the client's interests are aligned to get the largest recovery possible. As laid out in our contract, the percentage depends on whether the case is settled prior to filing a lawsuit versus after filing a lawsuit and pursuing the matter in court. We are transparent with exactly how this works by explaining it to clients and having set percentages for each situation spelled out in the first paragraph of the contract. In your particular case, it was necessary to file a lawsuit and litigate the matter in court. We filed your case, took depositions, conducted written discovery, hired experts, engaged in a full-day mediation, and pressed your case towards trial. Ultimately, you agreed to accept what was a very favorable settlement offer from the defendants that we were able to secure following our extensive work-up of your case in court. Attorneys' fees were charged in accordance with those situations where we have to file a lawsuit and proceed in court, just as was set forth in the client contract that you signed to hire us. We wish you the best in your future endeavors, and we appreciate the opportunity to have represented you in your personal injury case.

I was a passenger, with my husband driving, in a hit-and-run incident when I was 8 months pregnant. The person that rear-ended us immediately fled the scene. I felt fine at first but my husband decided to take me to the hospital out of precaution. I ended up having to stay overnight due to abnormal contractions, and the medical team had to prep me for an emergency C-section. I was terrified. Everything did end up being ok, but mentally and emotionally, it made me rethink everything and realize how vulnerable I (and any pregnant woman) was. Just driving. Or being in a vehicle. And personally, Kevin is very meticulous, leaves no ts uncrossed and mostly importantly, he is really great at his job and passionate about serving his clients.
