A parent's review
We just started with NSA last fall with one course. We switched over to homeschooling for medical reasons. The experience has been good. The New Testament Survey teacher was supportive and nurturing. Her course develops good academic skills like research, referencing and reflection, and is designed to be well-scaffolded. As such the student can intuitively apply skills learned to their next projects and continue to grow in their mental processing skills. It is not only content-focused, but gives the student tools for developing learning and thinking skills.
We are also appreciative of the flexibility and understanding from the teacher, so that we can fit learning into our medical schedules.

We are in our third year of using Northstar Academy for our children's education. We have been thoroughly impressed with the course options, the teachers, and the flexibility of the whole program. Northstar has suited our needs perfectly and we are so glad to have found such a wonderful education option!

Our son just began Northstar this year and it has greatly helped him in his education. He has become much more motivated to complete his assignments and his teachers and the content have been very helpful. We give beaucoup thumbs up for Northstar

Our family has been with North Star Academy for the past 10 years. We have seen it grow and change and become a top-notch online Christian Academy. We have always been pleased with the level of support and professionalism from the administration, guidance, IT and teachers. Everyone is helpful and always glad to answer questions. We live overseas and love the flexibility that North Star Academy provides. My children have received an excellent education and have gone on to colleges in the U.S.
The class offerings are diverse and if North Star didn't have what we were looking for, we were able to transfer in credits from other institutions. My children didn't engage in many of the clubs but there are many ways students can interact with other students and many ways for parents to interact with each other as well. I highly recommend North Star Academy.
