This review is long overdue. My parents moved here in May 2022. We were very attached to our parents so we visited a lot. We interacted with the staff a lot as well. I would say Chris is the backbone of the place. She knows everyone's name and does an incredible amount of work in a day. Michelle was the person who gave us the tour and was so friendly and upbeat. Stacy does the home health services and was always available if I had a question or needed help with my parents. One aide used to bring my dad a cup of coffee every morning when she came to help him get dressed. I think the smaller size of Briarcrest works in its favor. The residents all know each other. They know the staff and the staff know the residents. In a way they all become family. There doesn't seem to be a big employee turnover either, which is a huge plus! My parents did not participate in a lot of activities, except for chapel and rosary, so I can't speak to those. They enjoyed the food and I did as well when I ate with them. It was nice that we could join them for lunch or dinner. The dining room is nice and big, and is "sunny". The apartment my parents had was nice. My only complaint is that they did not have heat or air in either bedroom. Neither one of them liked that. Briarcrest probably needs to update the windows but I'm sure the expense is considerable. This is more an observation than complaint. Sadly, our parents passed away last year within months of each other. But my dad wanted to make sure I left a good review of this place. If it's still around in 20-30 years, I'll probably be living here. Thank you to everyone at Briarcrest for making the last few months of my parents' life more enjoyable. It really does mean so much to me.

A family member recently moved into Briarcrest after looking at many other options. Michelle, Chris and Harold were easy to work with and very helpful in easing the stressful transition. Briarcrest is a pet friendly home where someone cooks for you and launders your sheets and towels. The two bedroom has lots of square footage with 2 huge bathrooms. Some units have a patio or balcony. The dining room was busy during lunch. The sound of laughter and chatter made it feel homey and not intimidating. Residents came over to chat and the food was good too! Hats off to Michelle! She was so friendly and helpful. Not everyone is ready to move out of their home even when the need is there. She and the staff made us feel welcome and calmly answered all our questions many times.

Visited here after receiving info from A Place For Mom. Michelle provided all the info necessary to help us reach a decision among other facilities we visited. The staff is very warm and friendly. The services provided here are plentiful and affordable. And the food is very good! The waiting period to move in was reasonable and we even received a cost savings on move in day! We are all very pleased and feel we made the best choice. I

Please beware. The general 'manager' Harold Dobbins, refuses to pay the advertised 'referral fee' of $1,000 unless Corporate forces him to comply with their written policy. Harold Dobbins is unprofessional, tries to pocket the money ( kickback) for new move-ins when he is not responsible for the referrals. He is a liability for the company. My medical colleagues will never refer any more residents to Briarcrest because Mr Dobbins cannot be trusted. Also it is very concerning that Mr.Dobbins hires 16 year olds who do not follow health laws while cooking in the kitchen. Is this legal? Also, why has the health department not investigated the fact that cockroaches are feasting on the half eated left over food, in take out containers, on the floor in the hallways?
