I hadnt had medical care in quite some time and was trying to establish with a primary. She gave me referrals and I went to those appt. She had me set up a follow up a month after our first visit and I went with questions and concerns I felt I needed to ask my primary. She came in sat down and commenced to yell at me right off the bat? I got 1 question that it was Friday and if I wanted more to march myself up to the desk and make an hour appointment. She spent the 2 minutes she was in the room telling me she went to medical school multiple times and I replied well I didnt go to medical school and Im over 50 and have more than 1 question. She responded that Id need a weekly appointment for the rest of my life. She was ranting from the time she came in the room. It was the most bizarre experience Ive ever had in a Dr. office. Totally inexcusable, very rude woman.

Dr. Lockhert is a brutally honest no-nonsense physician. I can't say I was at my peek comfort during my visit. Some of us need that from to time to stay focused on our goals of better health.

If you have a co-occurring disorder, such as depression and substance abuse disorder, save yourself a lot of heartache and find another doctor. I put up with this woman's wildly inappropriate and egregiously unprofessional comments for 3 years because there are not a lot of suboxone doctors near me. She is judgemental, condescending, pious, and does not seem to understand co-occurring disorders. I knew this from our first visit, when she told me that "addiction is just sin". When her comments began to take on personal and accusatory tones, I left to find another doctor. Do no harm? I left her office in tears and feeling like a total p.o.s.

Dr. Amy Lockhert is very thorough and takes great of my wife and I!

Really enjoy her. Very knowledgeable and her nurse is also great.
