Yes a ZERO would be better. I went for a colonoscopy and he messed it up. Put a hole in my colon and I got sepsis. If I had not went back to the hospital when I did I would have died. I went to his office and told them of my pain his receptionist told me to go the ER. A great doctor, Dr. Hammond fixed me up, but had to remove 14 in of colon, appendix and some small intestine. I was in the hospital for about 2 weeks (27 stapples) and you would thought Heavey would have stopped by to see how I was doing, but no. I had to have another surgery to fix my stomach muscles after I healed up on the inside. I have had colonoscopies before so don't let this scare you, just make your doc knows what they are doing.

Zero stars. Very cocky, arrogant, and judging doctor. Do not recommend.

Took my dad in for an upper and lower GI. This appt led straight to the ICU for 21 days. My dad never came home. I would not recommend this Dr.

I went to see Dr. Heavey for gastric issues. I would have thought running some type of tests on me would have been a decent start, considering I have had pre-cancer polyps removed from my colon, colon cancer, ovarian cancer and uterine cancer runs on my maternal side. However, I was put on medication for IBS (which helps some) and I was told to come back in 3 months. Frustrated after paying a specialists copay to be seen for 15 minutes and sent away with medication not ever knowing if anything else is truly wrong with me just didn't sit well. Needless to say I requested a referral to a new gastric doctor in hopes that I can rule some things out.

I would give this doctor zero stars if possible. My husband was referred by his primary doctor for what we thought was some GI issues. This doctor ran tests for gall bladder, multiple tests ever type of test for gall bladder which everyone time would take 10 days for results. He was so hyper focused on the gallbladder he would not consider another cause. Finally he said he found something and scheduled to take the gallbladder. This did not help and my husband repeatedly emailed the office pleading for guidance and help. The response was it takes time. Between the fact that my husbands family has a history of cancer and the doctor ran no blood tests prior to surgery, I do not believe his gallbladder needed to be removed. If his cancer would have been diagnosed earlier he could still be here with us today. Do Not Go To This Doctor!
