Humberto Raya Vasquez assisted me with my vehicle loan at the Florissant location. This was by far the WORST experience I ever had with a loan. The first vehicle I financed with this credit union with a different person, went perfect. In addition, every time I had to do a currency transaction at the credit union everyone was extremely nice. Unfortunately when Humberto Raya Vasquez assisted me with my second vehicle loan, he failed to take any initiative in explaining the process or reaching out to move the loan forward once I was approved. Most if not all the contacts were made by me. He continuously suggested that I close the loan through the dealership and tried to give me a the number to the loan service center to complete the loan process as if he was too lazy to finish the loan at the branch. To avoid further confusion, I declined his offer to send the loan to a different department as I wanted him to finish since he was my loan officer. When I went to the office to close the loan per our earlier agreement , he was unprofessional, unprepared, and found all the reasons to say no versus implying what he can do to help. This is unacceptable service to a loyal member whom already financed a vehicle and have funds stored with the credit union. Word of advice; answer the phone, return phone calls/ emails, express empathy, display professionalism, and take initiative when working with customers. Focus on telling customers what you can do versus what you cant. Most importantly do not try to send customers to another department just to avoid work. Those are the basics of customer service that Humberto Raya Vasquez desperately needs training on. My credit score is a B rating; I financed a brand new vehicle in the past and paid it off with no late payments, I have a wealthy account balance with the credit union, and I was approved on the spot. I will surely have no problem taking my business elsewhere. I was so disgusted with the service, I have already began looking into a different credit union and finance company and will be telling my colleagues about my horrible experience.

My fianc has been a customer of theirs for over 20 years. She went to apply for a simple personal loan. Every single time she has to call them to proceed, they never return phone calls. We've faxed and emailed the documents needed. Overtime they come up with an issue. Her self employment contract isn't signed.... then they cant read the copy. now its the bottom of the copy cut off because their fax machine isn't working properly. Constant issues. ONE WEEK later. Still no approval. Any issue they have, they never call her to tell her there is an issue. We have to call after not hearing from them. Great Southern Bank approved us in 1 hr flat. One a phone call. Now thats service. Something ABECU needs to learn. I guess they will lose a 20 year old account to a bank.
