I thought the bid was a little high but reasonable. I paid half up front and the balance upon completion of the construction phase, the plantings were what was left to complete the work as bid (total $3500). Reuben said that the nurseries didn't have the plants in stock yet. He has since called and told me because of the threat of cold weather he delayed planting until April 15, which is reasonable.
