Bikes were stolen from the bike room and they paint over the mold every Fall.

Building 6/10 Location 9/10 Maintenance staff 9/10 Leasing staff 3/10 Safety/property safety 1/10 Overall value 2/10 Lived there for around 26 months. Initial staff when I moved in was awesome. Friendly, active, open, made a real effort, consistent due dates. DJ in maintenance is the best there is. Over the last 6 months or so, with a new leasing company, staff turnover, policy changes hidden inside other changes, amenity changes, multiple car thefts from inside gated parking garage in spots that were purchased and reserved spots, doors to the outside not closing for a week +. Rent due dates moving up multiple days so rent fees could be applied sooner with no notice. Social events half done with no participation. Very few friendly neighbors as people got wise to the poor value, people moving. There are other places in the area that are safer, more secure, do better with the little things, and arent openly very poor value buildings that just want to charge you obscene amounts for very little benefit.

Im posting under a a screen name. Its generally a good apt but new management company is impersonal and does not appreciate longer term tenants. Its all about sales.

After more than a year at 51Main, we are sad to leave. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Alex who helped find our home away from home in KC is fantastic! DJ, Jeff, and Tatiana are amazing too! Will miss you and all the other residents we got to meet during our stay as part of this wonderful community!
