This is by far the worst apartment Ive ever lived in. I noticed issues starting in the fall when the weather got cooler and humidity/condensate started forming on my windows and walls. This proceeded to create large patches of mold in my living room with terrible air quality. I had bleached the mold multiple times but it always came back stronger. Headaches were common during the winter.
What you need to know is that although this building looks new, they kept all the old HVAC and plumbing, which has had many issues since I moved in. My HVAC broke last January and has still yet to be fixed in April. Maintenance is working as quickly as they can, but you can only do so much with the ancient mechanical systems in this building. The cherry on top was my bike getting thrown away due to management communication errors (mostly reimbursed for).
Management is just a mouthpiece for the landlord (OneCity KC) and is not on your side AT ALL. Get used to hearing well, if we accommodate you with (insert common courtesy here), then wed have to do it for everybody in the building (the horror!).
To sum everything up, my theory is OneCity cheaped out and cut corners when they renovated this old building and now they (or rather, the poor maintenance staff) are now paying the price. The only reason this deserves at least one star is because the gym, sauna, and pool (when the heater isnt broken) are very nice.

Could be much better at communicating. They will send out text reminders for a chiefs game watch party but not text/ inform keep tenants informed of major maintenance issues. Elevators being out of service ( usually one out but on one occasion both) My apt has been 59 degrees/heat not working for 2 days now. I got a space heater dropped off but NO communication regarding fixing of the issue despite MY multiple attempts to reach out (maintenance requests and phone calls) I understand its been below freezing but the least they could do is reach out to tenant affected to let us know whats happening. As I spend the next 12 hours at work Im sure my apt will be well below 50 by the time I get home
UPDATE: There has only been one working elevator for going on 3 maybe 4 months now. With no idea when or if this problem will be fixed.

Called last minute as I was leaving town after a long day of touring apartments for my son and girlfriend who are moving to KC from oot. Was able to get me in quick. Corey gave a great tour and was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. I said WOW approximately 20x. The amenities are amazing. The common areas are beautiful and well kept. Historic building, apartment was clean and updated. Reading other reviews talking about issues with them thin walls etc. it's a renovated older building but I'd move here

Was considering Pickwick. The website makes it look very attractive. That said, once I learned that the windows in the apartments DON'T OPEN I had to take it off the list. Can you imagine not being able to ever air out your home? This is something applicants might not think to ask, so I had to say something here.
