Kaestner Lawn Care

KLC installed our retaining wall and a section of it is beginning to separate and sink. We called to ask for someone to fix it since that was part of the warranty but we have been getting the run around for the past 10 months. Jake said he would get to it when he was in the area and had the time but that never happened even though he only lives a couple of miles from us. He wants to blame the settling of the soil as our problem but it is only one section of the wall and we waited 4 years to install the wall to ensure the ground had properly settled. Today was the umpteenth time that we called to find out when he was going to repair it but this time he lost his temper had some choice words for us, told us to find someone else to fix it and hung up on us. I made the mistake of telling him that a former employee of his did not speak very highly of his business practices. The former employee said Jake wanted them to build walls as fast as possible and use as little material as they could get away with. So now I'm stuck having to pay someone else to work on this wall again. My only recourse is to write this review as many times as possible and hope that it is enough to deter someone from doing business with KLC. By the way, while looking for websites to submit this review, I saw that Kaestner Lawncare has 9 complaints on the Better Business Bureau site so buyer beware. Do NOT utilize this company if you want reliability! I hired Kaestner Lawn Care to mow my grass. I was told they would be there on a Thursday. It rained on Thursday, so no one showed up. Ok, understandable. I called the following Monday, no one returned my call. I called two days later on Wednesday and was PROMISED that someone would be out by Thursday at the latest. No one showed up. I called Jake Kaestner (owner) twice, left two voicemails. He will not return my calls.Kaestner Lawn Care has absolutely lost my business for good. If you're considering lawn care companies....definitely keep looking!

Linda W. March 20, 2012 We were very happy with the work they did for us. Their bid was fair and they were prompt in getting the job done. Once we committed, they started work and didn't stop until the job was done! We would highly recommend them to our neighbors.
