majority of staff are absolutely not qualified for the job with these kids.. they need staff who choose to be good role models for them not have childish behaviors and not even know what they are doing at there own job.

I brought my dogs up there to see my fianc multiple times and they never said anything until one of the staff members who has petted my dogs before was in a bad mood and told me I couldnt bring them on the property but its also not stated anywhere that there is no dogs allowed on the property

I usually dont write reviews about past placements that I have been but this place needs one. The staff for the most part were amazing, I have had deep emotional conversations with quite a few and those few are still in my life and supporting me the exact same way they did when I was a resident there. On the other hand there were a few staff that were quite unreasonable and immature, to the point where I was forced to be the adult in situations where it shouldnt have been unnecessary. The management here does absolutely nothing especially for older youth looking to go to the apartment programs. While I was there I had goals set and NONE of them were reached. I was supposed to start college last fall but they refused to set aside a time to help me finish my application. I wanted to get a job and they got me laid off because they were pulling me out of work and threatening that if I did not leave work that I would be grounded. I wanted to buy a car and had the savings to do so but they were unwilling to help me find the resources to do so. When I left I completely reached all of my goal within a month, I am starting college, I bought a car, I have an apartment, I am working an amazing job. I did it all in a month with the help of the Ashley House program and Lauras Home was unable to even help me complete one of my goals in a span of 5 months living there. They expect all of the older youth to automatically know how to do everything by themselves. So if you are thinking about sending your child/youth here I would look elsewhere and if they are an older youth I suggest going through the Ashley House program over this one.
