Dear Melissa:You originally emailed our firm for the first time apologizing for the short notice, stating you had a had an upcoming hearing in only FIVE DAYS from now, and asking if we could help. We took a look at your case on case.net, and advised you that we did not have the ability to take on your case with such short notice. We mutually agreed to not continue with an appointment. You were very pleasant, and thanked us for our time. For the record, we definitely did take the time to talk with you, and the decision not to have an appointment was mutual.However, a couple of weeks later, we suddenly received this negative review. It appears that you may have had a hearing today, then decided to leave us a negative review, and also left negative reviews for several other law firms, none of which you appeared to hire for your legal matter. I called you to discuss it today, and reiterated the above information. You did not seem terribly interested in talking about it, and as a result, our conversation was short. So at this point I am simply dignifying your complaint with a written response, and letting anyone who reads your complaint know that you are not a client of our firm, we have been very transparent in our inability to take the case on short notice, and I simply do not see what we could have done differently or what we have done to deserve a negative review. Would you rather we take your case, and then perform poorly because we don’t have the ability to drop other obligations and work on your case immediately? I truly don’t understand why our firm politely declining to take your case results in a negative review a couple of weeks thereafter.
