BUYER BEWARE! I would NOT recommend this company! I seen Ozark Stove an Chimney on KY3 TV advertising, assuming they were a good company I called them to come out to assess my fireplace insert knowing it would need replaced because of issues I was having with it an rust on my unit. The salesman was nice an did his job thoroughly. He told me everything I already knew that needed to be done with the fireplace. They charged me $400 to come out and inspect it and tell me that I needed to replace it. Which I agreed that it needed to be done. They said that the cost would be $10,000 and I agreed to pay $5,000 up front. Then the salesman said to have it guaranteed I would have to have them come out once a year to inspect it for $200 a year. So I agreed to that and he charged me and extra $200 then and there, which I thought was unusual because they hadn't even installed it yet at that point. So they came out and did the prep work, 2 days later they came out and tried to install the unit I originally agreed upon. Once they took out my old unit and brought in the new one I told them the firebox was to small, the technician said everyone says that. They were here till 7pm trying to install it and it was a half inch to tall and it wouldn't install correctly. So they said they would have to get me a different one and I told them that this one was to small anyway and I couldn't get my logs in there. So they left and brought a new one a week later and it was even smaller yet, they guaranteed me it would heat my house "more efficiently" than my old one. My old one kept my house at 80+ in the coldest of winters and would hold would for 10-12 hours a day with no maintenance while im at work. So once it was installed and started I thought it would work because they told me it would heat my house. I start up my fire on at 35 day with the fire roaring and it would only heat it to 67 in the house, my house it easy to heat because of the open floor plan. I shouldn't have to be bundled in a blanket with a brand new fireplace. I contacted the company and told them what was going on, their suggestion was that I should use backup heat while I was gone. Thats defeating the purpose of having a fireplace when I told them this was my main source of heat. So they send me an insulting email on how to start a fire when I've been building fires longer than most of them have been alive and suggested again that I use back up heat. I'm extremely disappointed after spending $10,000 to get my old unit out and a new one in and it won't even heat the house.

Dear Ms. Dobkins,Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We want to address the issues you've experienced with your new wood stove. We understand your dissatisfaction and want to clarify that the unit installed is designed to efficiently heat spaces larger than your home. While we discussed the possibility of a larger unit, structural limitations and safety concerns with your existing flue and fireplace opening guided our recommendation for the current size.We acknowledge your expertise in maintaining fires and apologize if our advice seemed redundant. Our intention is to ensure you get the maximum efficiency and safety from your stove. We've taken steps to ensure the flue is safe and compliant with your new unit, which was a necessary adjustment due to previous creosote build-up and incorrect wood burning practices. Please feel free to reach out to us at (417) 739-8940 for further assistance or to discuss any additional concerns you may have. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we're here to help.
