Not the best park. I understand that homelessness is not pretty and most people dont want to be around it. I read another reviewer comment that the park would be great if not for the camp of homeless people. Where should they go?? Do you know that there arent even enough night shelters to accommodate the growing number of citizens who are facing this? And where should they go during the day?? There is only 1 small permanent daytime shelter open 7:30-4pm, 365 days a year. There are 2-3k homeless people in Springfield. There is a serious shortage of day and night time shelters. Nowhere to go. Waiting months to get the chance to get back on their feet in their own home. So unless you are going to do something to help, dont hate, judge or discriminate against people based on where they live and kick them when theyre down. Theyre just people in a park.
