        My mother had planned to stay at Cooney after her surgery. They told her "no problem, we'll have a place for you", but when the hospital case manager reached out to set up the details no one would return their call. After almost 3 days of leaving messages and not hearing back, we ended up contacting another facility and getting her placed there instead. Cooney's lack of communication meant that my mom had to stay in the hospital for an extra 2 nights while we figured this out, which was incredibly frustrating.
