poor care for my friends mom. Avoid this place if you can!

Ive enjoyed the amazing opportunities and great activities at Eastmont! I was a 91-year-old widow when I moved into Eastmonts Independent Living with many levels of care in the same location for as long as needed. The residents are friendly and I live independently in my own apartment. A number of incidents can show my feelings. I was on a long walk when two people, one on each side of me assisted me over rough terrain to enjoy the walk and bird watching. Another time that points out kindness and caring is when my newspaper was not brought in, my neighbor called to see if I was OK. I was not so he called the nurse who came quickly and cared for me. When I first moved in, I couldnt get my car into the garage and it was cold and dark. One of the staff put my car into the garage for me. Once I was not able to get my bed made-up before housekeeping came and the cleaning lady put on clean sheets and made my bed for me without my even asking. I enjoyed the welcome breakfast with my neighbors on my floor. All this is done cheerfully with the desire to please. I feel cared for and all my needs are taken care of with the assurance that all requirements will be provided as needed. I understand that Eastmont is the only non-profit facility offering these levels of care all in one location. My 5 stars rating verifies the USA government's rating of 5 stars for Eastmont (Towers) on a personal level.

I wrote this 3 years ago and I still LOVE it here. Activities are fantastic. We had a classical grand piano recital last night as good as Lied's. Eastmont is a great place to live with guaranteed life time care available. It is a 501(c) non profit corporation. The staff is very friendly and the food is GREAT. Highly recommended. My. husband's mother lived here for 43 years and my dad lived here for several years until he died at 104.

I am ecstatic at age 76, we entered Eastmont 6 years ago before we needed to. We rated Eastmont then as 5-Stars. I expected my wife to be the first to benefit from Eastmont's expertise, as unlike her, I was and still am taking no medicine. WRONG. Due to Eastmonts structure and programs, I grew younger as my health improved. Eastmonts non-profit status means income over expenses is used to make continuous investment in improving its programs and physical structure. The current expansion is made possible by a partnership with Transforming Age, a larger and more diversified non-profit, beginning 3 years ago. We would now rate Eastmont at 6-Stars if we could. My wife loves to swim. The new swimming pool under construction will provide her with additional exercise, which could improve her health. Eastmont's management's goal is to met and hopefully exceed expectations. We will have a new state-of-the-art performing setting over 160 people that the public can use. That will increase our already long list of enjoying culture and social events, which fills our calendars. I am an introvert. I could how consider myself to be more of an extrovert as Eastmonts residents and staff is a caring community like a large family. We "eat" out every day with a different set of friends in the dining area. Many of my friends, consider the food service to be equivalent to a 5-Star restaurant. The number and quality of food choices have increased after the pandemic as we have returned to dining together versus getting our lunches in clam shells. Below are previously written reviews, giving more details. Two years ago: Due to Eastmont's exercise equipment and physical programs, I was able to double my strength, as measured by the number of plates I could move on their Body Solid equipment. I was doing interval training before we moved. The high intensity intervals went from 20 sec to 60 sec with recovery between on Eastmonts New Step Machines. My heart rate stayed below my doctor's recommended high. My flexibility increased from just touching my knees to touching my ankles, due to the 3 times a week group exercise. When I came, I was dragging my left toes while walking, which if it continued could have left me with a significant fall injury. When I got sloppy at Eastmont with my posture, Mark gave me special exercises to strengthen the proper muscles, and my posture improved. I was the first one of us to benefit, from Eastmonts continuum of care as I was diagnosed with Stage One, aggressive prostate cancer. Low PSA levels with have stayed within the test's error range for 2 years indicate I was cured with Mayo Clinics trail of the 5 Photon Therapy treatments over a period of 15days. I have found that there are many cancer survivors at Eastmont that have lived at least a decade longer than they expected. Four years ago: We are second generation residents. Our parents lived a fantastic, long, happy and fulfilling lives. My mother lived in Eastmont for 43 years, and Mary's father was in independent living until 103 1/2 and joined in his sleep with the Lord at 104. We attended more cultural events in a month by just walking a short distance to the main lounge than we did in a year before moving into Eastmont. We plan to be in our beautiful apartment for decades. This is superb living without the chores of maintaining a home. Eastmont's community encourages you to stay active in programs that keep you in excellent mental and physical health. Residents have a voice in the management, which has allowed the services to adapt and improve with time.

I am so very grateful that my husband and I decided to move to Eastmont independent living. So many things that would be of concern in home-living do not exist here or are taken care of. My husband and I came to Eastmont thinking we might need to be more specifically taken care of in the future. Our premonition has come true and my husband is in Meadowview Care Center. We were here almost four years before he had to take advantage of the skilled care unit. The good news is that I can visit him any time without going outside in inclement weather. Whether I am with him or not, I know he is being will taken care of by the kindest caregivers. That is such a relief. I, too, have access to immediate care with a 3-digit phone call, pull cord, or voice call using Alexa. Eastmont encourages and enables us to stay fit with their exercise programs. It is challenging, also, to walk outside or inside by paths that equal a mile. It is interesting to notice how much friendship there is between staff and residents, which enhance our feeling of security. Resident friends really feel like family. We both love music and we can still enjoy together Eastmont's musical and other events inside Eastmont's complex. All in all, we could not have made a better decision than to make Eastmont our home. The key thing I want to add: it is important to make the decision to move before you have to, so that you can come in easily and have the strength and will to make and enjoy friends.
