My only complaint is the proximity to the interstate. On a summer day with lots of people having fun I wouldn't have heard it, but if you're trying to escape into quiet wilderness this might not be the best choice.

May 2023 Edit: I've noticed most of the picnic tables have warped and/or cracked planks. There were spilled drinks on this trip because people didn't realize the top surface was warped so badly under the required tablecloth. They could also use some new paint. The roads throughout the park are cracked. Its a bumpy ride anywhere you go. The fire pit ring was rusted and had holes all over. I camp frequently throughout the spring, summer and fall and most Nebraska parks are in really poor condition when compared to Iowa or South Dakota parks and I don't understand why. Previous review; It's a nice park for picnics, fishing, camping, and swimming in the designated pond or in the platte river. It's not a great place for hiking though as they close most trails for extended hunting season or other un-named reasons.
