Honestly, I have driven myself a little crazy researching manufactured home builders. Poor Hayden at Champion Retail Center in York sure had his hands full with me! :) I came in with a million questions after spending countless hours comparing companies and models/floor plans online. After many emails and phone calls, my husband and I scheduled a factory tour. Hayden was very knowledgable and patient with us and by us, I actually mean me! I was being the annoying one! My husband was just along for the ride. :) Hayden had an answer to almost all of my questions and what he didn't know he found an answer to right away. We kept him past closing time and he never once complained, rushed us or made us feel like an inconvenience. It was pretty cool to tour the factory and see how the homes are made and the quality of care that goes into the building process. A lot of communication continued after our factory tour and throughout countless phone calls and email exchanges, Hayden has been so professional, prompt in his responses and is very customer oriented. Hayden has always made it clear that he is there for us and willing to help in any way he can. And I believe he sincerely means that. Unfortunately we have had to put our plans on hold. Hayden was very understanding and supportive and ensured he would be waiting for us whenever we are ready. If you are considering a manufactured home builder, I highly recommend consulting with Hayden at Champion Retail Center in York! He's been the best!

I never do these reviews but looking at a few reviews I felt like I needed to share my experience. My wife and I recently moved from Tennessee and purchased land just outside of Grand Island. We had a used Champion home lined up and that ended up falling through. So now we are in desperate need to find something fast. We visited 3 different offices the day we went to the store in York. We are young but I have a great job and have already owned a home in Tennessee but every place we visited that day no one wanted to help us. None of the salespeople took us seriously and frankly were down right rude. We were on our way home from Omaha when we stopped in York and ended up getting to the store 15 minutes before close and it was super hot that day which just made the day worse. We were greeted by Hayden Crockett and let him know right away our situation. Surprisingly he took the time to walk us through the factory as well as their homes next to the office. Not once did he ever seem upset that we were keeping him past close on a Saturday. We havent purchased a home yet because we ended up renting since it would take a while to get our land setup and didnt have a choice besides staying in a hotel for months. When it comes time Hayden will definitely earn our business because of that day. Very enjoyable, not high pressured and really took the time to get to know me and my wife and was generally interested in helping us find the right home. Thank you again

I was very excited to begin the home buying process with factory expo. I was pre-approved through a finance company so I went to York Nebraska to start picking things out. I was asked to put down a $1000 deposit to lock in the sale price. So of course I did. After that meeting I found out it was going to be more than originally priced. I then reported this to my finance company and was immediately turned down for my loan. I then contacted Jeff at factory expo to notify him. This all took place within 2 days. I was calling and emailing to notify them and also to get my deposit back. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything I left a not so nice voicemail. I got a call back first things the next morning! I find it weird that when I was leaving nice voicemails for weeks I got no response but when I started getting angry she called right away. After a few more emails back and forth I was assured that my deposit was being processed and would be in the mail. Well I did get a check but it was for only $600. I was told the other $400 was a processing fee. What processing fee this all took place within 2 days. Even though it took them 2 weeks for them to get back to me. I can't believe they are treating people like this. I am editing my review because the owner left a comment to give them a call. I have called them and I have been told that if I sign their non disclosure agreement that I can have my deposit back. I told them that I would be happy to sign anything they want as soon as I get my money back. Unfortunately they require my to sign the paperwork work first. Why would I sign anything else with this company? That's what got me into this predicament in the first place!

High quality homes. Suggest knowing differences between HUD, mobile, and modular homes. Prices higher than some others but higher quality.

It pains me to give this such a low rating, because prior to the setup company coming out this was a somewhat positive experience. The major downfall, and why I would never recommend this company to anyone, is the absolutely atrocious experience we had with the setup company that they work with and recommend- Georges Mobile Home Service. If they are recommending/working with a setup company, it is a direct reflection of the amount of care and consideration they have for their clients' investments- in which case they do not care at all. Poor customer service and communication is just the tip of the iceberg with Rick Georges. Upon "completion" of the job (aka, when they left) we were left with piles of scraps, nails, blades, and cigarettes all over our yard. Trim is missing from 3 sides, our siding doesn't fully connect, caps on the exhaust pipe for the furnace are missing, among many other things. We also had an outside expert come in to take a look to ensure we weren't just overreacting (this is our first experience), and he said it was one of the worst he'd ever seen. If this is who they are recommending (and yes, I've made them aware of the situation without a peep from them) then they do not truly care about your investment. If they did, they would ensure quality even after it has left the lot.
