University United Methodist Child Development Center

My preschooler and I really enjoy this daycare/preschool. The teachers seem to be nurturing and my kid stated that his teacher is friendlier than his old teacher in California. I felt very comfortable leaving him here all day. There were times when he didn't want to go to school but when I would go back to pick him up he didn't seem eager to leave. I highly recommend University United Methodist Child Development Center to anyone with an infant, toddler or preschooler.

This is an all inclusive but older congregation. No family or children oriented programs. Hope they are able to  get new and younger members so they can grow.

My greatest compliment to the UUMCDC is in the staff's love of their jobs. This is a group of people who love children; their curiosity, their playfulness and their minds - each of which are nourished in each child's own developmental time. There is no push in any which direction, only a guidance in creating a safe place to play-based learning. When I first needed care for my 3 month old and returning to work - I was terrified at the "business-like" feel most daycares had. Then I came here. That 3 month old is now 6 years and my second child is now 4 years. Both have, and continue to be kind, curious and have a love of learning that I attribute to the teachings of these caregivers. To say I highly recommend, would be the biggest understatement of my children's quality care.

Choosing a childcare facility is always a difficult process. I immediately felt a sense of relief after just speaking on the phone to the director. While touring the facility I was almost brought to tears. Needless to say, we chose this amazing non-profit organization to help with our childcare needs. The outdoor play areas are great to allow gross motor movement for the children. They even have water features for the hot summer months. The caregivers have engaging lesson plans each week and ensure each child's individual developmental needs are met. After 7 years the staff are like family and my school aged children still love to visit their old caregivers. If you want a facility that will welcome your children and treat them as their own look no further. I can't say enough great things about the CDC and the amazing staff.
