Did obedience classes there with my dog when she was a puppy from basic all the way to advanced. My dog was nervous doing certain things (she never got the hang of down)but Jim was great, working with both her & I to try to overcome those things. He always had encouraging things to say to her & obviously wanted her to be comfortable & happy. Also took her & my mom's dog to daycare which they both loved. Great way for them to socialize & get some energy out.

Great for dog training! We're up to advanced and loving it! The style here won't suit everyone. Make sure you find a style that suits you well. This style uses small corrections with a check chain or gentle leader to get your results. Dog receive food rewards and praise for good behavior.

I cannot rave about this place enough! Not only are the people extremely friendly, understanding, and helpful - they know what they are doing and they clearly have a deep admiration for dogs! My puppy has been coming here for daycare for months and he absolutely loves it! He has so many friends and the videos they post on Facebook solidify to me how much my dog truly loves spending his day here. He knows what his daycare days are, and he gets so excited as soon as he sees the building. We signed him up for their beginner training course to help improve on the areas where his behavior needs a little work (pulling on the leash to the point of choking himself / jumping up to say hi / the standard puppy-not-listening when he doesn't want to schtick) and after literally one class, we saw a MARKED improvement in his leash etiquette. We still have a long way to go, but the depth of knowledge and attention to detail that the trainer provides to every individual dog in his class makes me confident that we will only continue to be blown away. They give detailed demonstrations, observe how well you as the human executes the exercise, and issues any necessary corrections right in the moment to ensure we can execute his instructions properly at home. As a kid, I never liked homework. The homework given to us by the trainer has also proved to be such an amazing tool for at-home practice that has really helped to reinforce what we practice in class. The training courses are a bit more expensive than ones you'll find at the big chain pet-department stores, but I swear that the classes here are worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! You will absolutely get what you pay for if you invest in your future with your dog at GSDTC - I really can't recommend them enough! If you love your dog, bring them here!
