Lovely hike and easier climb. There were black ice beyond 2700ft due to chilly wind. It showed on Saturday and we hiked the next day, so the snow layer were crumbling after each step. But we eventually made way through. On thay back return, many people have stepped on the same foot prints, so path was properly marked.

Do not ascend from Holt trail. I'm an experienced hike who hiked Pecipice trail in ME, Angel's Landing in UT, Huntington Ravine trail in NH, yet Holt trail almost killed my heart & nerve. I had to use hands and shins to propell myself up. However, the view is awesome.

A beautiful, relatively easy hike (some higher step areas), with a great view at the top. The parking can be tight, so be patient, and please don't speed up to the parking area.
