AARP recommends United Health Care. Too many problems, my recents one:I have had United Health Care for five years now and every year they increase their rates. Now, after paying $100 a month for prescription meds, I am told, I have to wait 14 days for them to approve Ambien for sleeping. I haven't slept in 3 days. My doctor prescribed this yesterday. By the way, I pay top dollar for the Supplemental F program going up to $530 a month AND $100 for prescriptions. So, where is the help here for seniors when we have to wait 14 days for approval? Can you imagine the state of mind I would be in if I waited another 14 days to get a sleeping medication? This is unacceptable and should be looked into. NOW, I called the pharmacy and said I would pay cash. No one told me I could do that. So, I am going today to pick it up. Almost $1,000 a month for insurance for me and my husband (goes up every year) and we get treated like this. I am certain you are trying to get us, seniors, financially squeezed off the Supplemental F program and join the Medicare Advantage program because it would be more beneficial to you. This program is NOT for us as I checked and 90% of my doctors are not in your accepted program. Might be cheap but cheap is never good. Step up and do what AARP says, that you are the best and cheapest. NOT SO!

AARP needs to advocate to change laws regarding contractor fraud in NH--many seniors lose huge sums of money with no recourse. Hard to find thousands of dollars to make up for shortfalls at 60-70. Legislation needed.
