Portsmouth Christian Academy

PCA is a beautiful school with a fantastic campus. The curriculum for my son was progressive and the instruction was well-paced. The teachers are kind and caring. Unfortunately, we had a poor experience with PCA which I contribute to the administration. What I experienced was that they did not work to "maximize each child's God-given potential". And they did not "partner" with us as parents. In both of these instances, we felt they did precisely the opposite. They pride themselves on identifying and working with each child's individual learning style however when they were presented with our son, whom they excepted into the school, rather than work with us as parents, and his other providers, they clearly made a strong stance that he would not fit into their mold. So I would recommend that if you are considering this school, make sure that you feel your child will fit into the homogenous mold that they pride themselves on and be leery of the words of the academic dean.

I remember the Millers from the 80's. I never knew this school existed & I lived in Dover. What an awesome impact they made in NH.

Private Christian school, pre-K to 12. Excellent college preparatory courses. I write this review four and six years after my two daughters graduation from PCA. Both now graduates of college and amazing young ladies. Not an inexpensive school to attend but one of the most affordable in our area. Their academic excellence competes with Phillips Exeter Academy and Berwick Academy at a fraction of their price. If you find this review helpful please give it a thumbs up
