My husband and I bought a pellet stove and had Veteran Chimney install it. The previous owner installed it and stated we didnt need a permit. We decided to end up selling our house and ended up needing a permit, and previous owners didnt even follow the directions of installation!! I ended up getting the permit, (city of Nashua was fantastic working with me! )and had the building inspector come out, now Veteran Chimney new and previous owners are not answering me and not fixing it! Go somewhere else for installation because they dont like following protocols!! You will end up paying for it in the end!!

Warning stay away! I had my chimney serviced over the summer, roughly about 6 months ago. Concrete work, new cap, new flue, then unfortunately my pellet stove motherboard fried. (Not their fault) however I chased them down to finish the work they started. Then I had to chase them down to try and schedule a time for them to replace the pellet stove. NO ANSWER! I finally call a new company. They came out and conducted an inspection on the NEVER BEFORE USED CHIMNEY! Failed, water is getting through the cap, the flue is pieced together with a clamp to extend it. I am not sure how or why this happened but be advised that this is not someone I would ever work with again

We called for an evaluation of water leaking around our chimney. Waited about 3 weeks for them to come out (paid $175) and the workers said that ours was an unusual case and that the owner would call us in a couple of days with the quote or the recommendations. After a few more calls to them and promises that a guy by the name of Mike would call us, we have yet to hear a word from them. Got nothing for our money...not even a phone call.

If I could give zero stars to Veteran Chimney, I would. I feel sorry for the girl who had to answer our calls and lie for the owner for the last four months. These people absolutely robbed us of money. Their guy came to our house, looked at a broken handle on a wood stove and claimed they could fix it - did absolutely nothing else because it had rained earlier and he was afraid of going on the roof to inspect the chimney. We gave the guy $150 to order parts and then he never returned. The owner just ignored our calls for the next month and then finally claimed he would mail us a check for the reimbursement which never happened. Do not do business with these crooks. Go through Stan & Ivan Chimney Guys instead - they are way more qualified and honest.

We used this company for an issue with our Lenox gas fireplace, turns on but would shut down shortly after. The technician was knowledgeable and very informative. The working components needed cleaning which apparently can occur due to moisture or dirt and of course time (10 years old). The owner is a Veteran and gave us a discount due to my husband being a veteran. We would definitely use Veterans Chimney again.
