My wife and I have just had our prescriptions transferred from Rite Aid to another pharmacy. We are both retired and have had our prescriptions filled with this Rite Aid store for well over ten years. During that time, we have had both good and bad experiences with this pharmacy department. The two mainstays of this department have been Dante Lanzillo, the pharmacy manager, and his main assistant, Lynn. I have to say that Lynn is an outstanding person, who goes out of her way to help us when we have concerns or problems. Dante Lanzillo is a very knowledgeable manager, who has also been helpful to us over the years. The remaining pharmacy staff just take up space and don't put the customer's needs or concerns first. This is particularly true of Dante's assistant pharmacy manager, Priyal Patel, who is in charge when Dante has the day off (very frequently for the past year). These employees go through the motions, but could really care less about their customers and their needs and we consider them totally useless, and only deal with them out of necessity when Dante and Lynn are not there. The circumstances which led us to transfer our prescriptions occurred about two weeks ago. My wife needed a prescription re-filled and the assistant manager, Priyal, informed my wife that she was unable to refill the prescription because she didn't have enough medication to fill it. Normally, when this situation arises, Dante or Lynn, without asking, will give us a few pills to tide us over until the next day, when the medication will supposedly be in. Priyal did not offer to give her some pills, but instead said to contact Dante tomorrow. My wife was left with no medication, which is vital for her to take. She spoke with Dante the next day and told her what happened and that she did not receive any pills to hold her over. Priyal was confronted by Dante, who asked her why she didn't give her a few pills to hold her over. She claimed that she did offer my wife a few pills. Dante told my wife that she did offer the pills. My wife told Dante that she did not ask her if she wanted a few pills. Dante told his assistant what my wife said and she told Dante that she did offer some pills and that my wife was "A Liar". The next day, I met with Dante and asked that Priyal apologize to my wife for calling her a LIAR. Dante said "NO" we would not get one, and that he stands in support of Priyal, suggesting that we should transfer our prescriptions to another pharmacy. He then told me that over the 10 year period, my wife and I were considered by them to be "Problem customers." So we are through with Rite Aid pharmacy, for good. We don't deserve to be treated in this manner. Life is tough enough as it is without having to worry about this!

Got to the pharmacy at 10:45 for an 11am scheduled vaccine. The pharmacist's assistant had me checked in well before 11. Waited patiently with nobody mentioning how long the wait would be until 11:20 (the woman in line ahead of me was seen at a little after 11 and, based on her loud huffing and puffing had been waiting for some time). Went to the counter to check on my appointment and they decided to finally tell me a few minutes later that my appointment was up the street and they couldn't fit me in because they were too busy (though only two of us had been there in the span of over thirty minutes). TL;DR - avoid this pharmacy and the dude pharmacist with the pony tail. Head down the street to their 71 Lowell Rd address for much better service.
