My husband and I stayed at the Ash Street Inn this past weekend for a Valentines Day weekend getaway. Our room had a remote-controlled fireplace that was so cozy to relax next to, and it was fully stocked with whatever toiletry you could ever need including advil, chapstick, makeup remover, a makeup mirror, any toiletries, toothpaste, etc. Complementary drinks like soda, coffee and tea, as well as snacks like fresh fruit, chips, granola bars, and cookies made the stay very comfortable. Rob and Margit are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and thoughtful of every detail. They made recommendations for dinner after we arrived, with many options within a 20 minute walking distance. After dinner we drove north about 1 hour and 15 mins to see the Ice Castles in Woodstock which was totally magical! What really made the trip for us was the smorgasbord of a breakfast. We informed them we are vegan ahead of time, and they delivered more than we could have ever expected. Firstly, we were offered homemade granola and vegan yogurt, as well as fresh fruit bowls. I had thought this was the extent of it and was honestly already satisfied but then they handed us the real menu which offered a choice between sweet vegan pancakes and a savory southwest tofu scramble, which were both delectable! They also had vegan peanut butter cookies when we arrived! We had a lovely convo with Rob and Margit during our breakfast and they gave us free guest passes for the Currier Museum of Art just a couple blocks down the street from the Inn, whom they have a partnership with as a local business. We went after checking out and it was a perfect way to end our perfect trip!!

My wife and I have stayed here several times, usually getting in late so we don't get to really enjoy the place, but it's always clean, always comfortable, always friendly, and always attentive to detail.

Our stay here was definitely an auspicious start to the New Year. We wish to add our voices to the chorus of guests who have enjoyed a perfectly harmonious time at this wonderful Inn. Challenges and obstacles are inescapable in the 'outside' world. Yet Margit and Rob have the extraordinary capacity to create an environment that is finely tuned and supportive in all ways, welcoming, warm, bright and delicious (breakfast :-). May it be a peaceful and joyful year for the Inn and all future guests! Rooms: Room 208
