HIGHLY RECOMMEND Life Safety Institutes EMT course with Drew Toma as Instructor! This class is a combination of in-person labs every other week and online sessions two evenings/wk (online sessions are recorded, so if you are unable to attend live, you do have the flexibility to watch it on your time). Various styles of learning are accommodated in the resources (already vetted for you!) that are placed right in Canvas, where all of your course materials, assignments, etc., are. Expectations are clear from Day 1 and they are reasonable. I simply cannot say enough about the course being laid right out for you in Canvas no wondering what the assignment is, or where things are its all right there! The progression of the labs and end-of-class testing requirements prepares you for National Registry, as well as the psychomotor component of testing. If you are on the fence about committing to an EMT course (and believe me, I was!), this class is THE one to do!

Drew came to teach safety training for my cleaning crew. He offered a ton of value and our time was packed with great information. He professionally fielding my teams questions. At the same time we had a blast because he brought great energy and humor. I cant wait to have him or his team back next year.

The EMT-B course I took over the Summer at Life Safety Institute was simply perfect. If you take a course here, the oftentimes dense course material will be broken down into digestible chunks, the grading will be fair, and the instructors will take the time to unravel questions and walk through tough concepts if students are confused. I was struck by the fact that the instructors are not only veteran healthcare providers who are very good at what they do, but are also very experienced, wildly effective teachers (a rare combination). They know exactly how to prepare students for licensing exams and for real-life scenarios in the field. Drew and his co-instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, yet are good-natured and downright hysterical. And more than anything, they want you to succeed. Attend the lectures, complete the assignments, and pay attention in class, and you'll be fast on your way to a license and the ability to provide competent care, with a great experience to-boot.
