The Martial Arts Zone, LLC

At 59 I decided to get into the best shape of my life, 3 years later (62 yrs old) and 60 lbs lighter I have achieved my goal. Still searching for more, Brazilian Jujitsu appeared. A quick search and I found many places popping up. I picked 4 and called and spoke briefly to them. I picked 2 to go through thier "trail period". I have to say that hands down Owner/black belt Chris Konelas at 60 yrs old, knew exactly what I needed and a program I love. Chris and his wife Susan have done an incredible job creating a great safe healthy environment. Every student and staff is so nice it's hard to believe until you meet them for yourself, then you will understand how. I highly recommend The Martial Arts Zone if you are looking for a home to master this Art. Don't take my word on it, call, talk to Chris and try it out. I know you, like me, will. The Martial Arts Zone is awesome! Everyone is very friendly and make you feel welcome in the academy. Even without any experience they teach at a pace that best works for you. Chris and Susan really care about their students and treat them like family. I have nothing but good things to say about this team, its very fun and you get the exercise you need. I would definitely recommend this academy to anyone who wants to get involved in the jiu-jitsu MMA and kickboxing field! Ive only been attending the classes for about a month and already feel part of their family. Im excited to continue my journey with people beside me that truly care about me and want to watch me succeed!

I was already on my kickboxing journey when I needed to pivot and find a new dojo. That can be tough. I loved where I was going and I loved training with a community of people I had become so comfortable with. Fortunately, my husband was already a member at the Martial Art Zone where he was training under Chris. I was welcomed with open arms and realized what a special place this is. So now this is our family dojo. My 8 year old daughter is part of the Junior Warriors for Jiu-jitsu and thriving under their direction and training. She is taught discipline, respect for herself, her training partner and above all her parents. So whether you are just starting out or looking for a new community to step into the Martial Art Zone is a great place to come. All are welcome and their doors are always open.

I started training with Chris and Susan at The Martial Arts Zone about two years ago after my husband started training with them in 2020. Even though I wasnt looking to start jiu jitsu at first, I really like it now because everyone is so welcoming and its comforting to know some self-defense. I highly recommend joining this academy for anyone looking for some exercise or a new hobby with a nice community
