Janice Edwards Voice Studio

As someone who loves singing, but had no actual experience, this has been one of the best experiences of my life. Janice was able to patiently gear her class to a novice who's voice was rough to start. This isn't about learning to sing a song. It's about learning the technique to sing any song. I look forward to my time every week.

My daughter has found her voice lessons with Janice to be a lifeline for her own well-being this year and she continues to grow as a singer and in her identity as young woman. Voice lessons with Janice have definitely helped her find and develop her voice! And as she looks ahead to law school and possibly public service, her voice will be heard! I have no doubt!

I've been studying classical voice with Janice for many years now. Janice doesn't just teach singing--she teaches musicianship, artistry, and style. Janice is a fantastic and engaging teacher who incorporates years of experience and study into her lessons. She is excellent at explaining and teaching the physiology/biology of singing, and how sound is produced, and how emotion and expression can improve the song. Janice's spacious studio on the 4th floor of 83 Hanover has lovely acoustics, and she employs best practices for singer and teacher safety. She has dedicated a great deal of time and energy to promoting a beautiful and safe singing environment where vocalists can grow and mature in their study. When I started studying with Janice, I could sing songs; now, I approach them with a different level of musicianship thanks to her teachings.
