I had an issue with bulkhead doors where the foundation was at grade level and when the ground is frozen in the winter, I got water dumping into my basement. I also needed a new set of bulkhead doors. I was looking for someone to do this work for a few years. Masons would occasionally call back but wouldn't do the doors. Very few door installers exist and they didn't do the concrete work needed to raise the foundation. CrackX does both parts of this odd but important job. They responded quickly and coherently. They booked me on the calendar and honored the date they set. The price quoted was the price honored. They did exactly what I needed them to do and did a very detail oriented and solid job (I've worked masonry before). They were on time, thorough, the office was responsive...a true blast from the past. Highly recommended. Service: Masonry repair & maintenance

Gave us a reasonable quote. The person that came to the house was super nice.

The quality of the work here seems ... fine? Maybe? Not totally sure what to make of it - the cracks are bigger now that CrackX ground them out before filling them with .. sand? .. and then they're sloppily coated with a plastic epoxy of some kind - lots of it was splattered around the actual crack, and clean-up was pretty scant when the job was done (a significant amount of footprints left in the house to get to the basement even though I have a bulkhead, piles of dust swept and left in the garage, caps and dirty paper towels left to clean up). The team member who showed up worked in shorts and Sperry boat shoes, so it sort of seemed amateurish. I wouldn't want to be using the equipment and materials that were laid down in casual wear, but what do I know. My biggest issue is that we discovered an additional 15' of cracking, and in order to get it sorted, the charge was 50% of the original quote, but the original quote was for 60' (so you'd expect the add-on to be 25% or maybe less since they were already here ready to go - activation and gas costs were already covered). Felt pretty used-car-salesman - "oh we already were giving you a good price, this is market rate." I just wanted it taken care of so said yes, but it was pretty transparent price gouging. Make sure you get a quote for everything you want done, or expect them to take you for a ride. In addition, beware that they are cash on delivery - no paying a bill later (we're a business so our standard is to submit a bill for payment from our AP department). All in all, I would not use them again - we'll see how the work holds up in spite of the above. 2 stars since it's better than having cracks, I think, but I'm confident there are more professional companies out there, especially with the mess left behind and greasy pricing. Service: Cracks, settlement, & leaks

James, this is a rather unusual experience you had. Let’s hop on a call and see if we can sort this out. Also, we are so confident in our work that we have a 10 year transferable warranty. Let’s talk.
