This past summer, my wife and I bought a fixer upper with a number of flooring issues at the same time we welcomed our first child. Needless to say, moving and prioritizing projects was very hectic! We needed someone reliable to do quality work on a schedule that worked for our family without any added hassle. We had Mike Comer come out to give us an estimate on carpeting over the hideous and painfully hard faux wood tile glued onto concrete slab in our family room, as well as adding a radiant heated tile floor in our entryway. Mike's estimate was right on the money, and we knew his work was high quality from countless other projects he's done for neighbors and family in the area. The difference in both rooms has been dramatic: the baby and dogs love to play on the soft, attractive and durable/stain resistant carpet Mike laid in our family room, which made it significantly cozier and more comfortable. The heated tile floor in the entry looks amazing and will wow anyone who visits our home going forward. Mike's suggested 24x12 herringbone pattern resulted in a gorgeous final product. It went from a dark, dreary and dated space with ugly old tile into a really attractive design statement. Not to mention, adding heat to the entry will make the adjoining family room a lot toastier in the winter. We also won't have to worry about a frigid draft or putting ice cold jackets and boots on in January. We are now planning to have Mike come back to save some original but heavily worn hardwood floors in the house.
