        I had the brisket, fried okra, macaroni and cheese and baked beans. The young lady who was behind the bar and the cook where amazing people. The food was so good I'll definitely be back wish I could give a higher star . 4/3/24 @4:30

        Delicious food. Friendly people. Nice to kids. My daughter has to avoid gluten and dairy so BBQ has become our go-to on days when were out shopping for mom. The folks at Willie Jewells went out of their way, on more than one occasion, to make sure she got an awesome lunch. Their food is great and it comes out fast if youre in the go. Prices are good too. Thanks to the team for making dad/daughter lunches fun and easy for us!

      Willie Jewell's Old School Bar-B-Q

      Willie Jewell Daniels was a 16-year-old girl with no home and no means. The Adeeb Family rescued Daniels from the streets of Jacksonville and offered her a job at their legendary Green Turtle Restaurant and later, Bonos Pit Bar-B-Q in Jacksonville, Florida. As she went to work in their family restaurants, she quickly proved that she could cook almost anything and commanded respect in the kitchen. They soon discovered an amazing lady who would change their lives forever. Not only was Willie Jewell an exceptional cook, but she had a sharp wit and an immeasurable heart. Adeeb attributes ninety-five percent of his cooking knowledge to Willie Jewell and says, Not only was Willie Jewell an incredible cook, she was an incredible person. He cherishes the things that she taught him about cooking, but more importantly the things she taught him about life. Ms. Jewell passed some time ago, but her legend lives on through Willie Jewells Old School Bar-B-Q.
