This is a really cool spot if you are an outdoors person and love local history. The trails were easy and well marked. The power of the river is absolutely incredible. It's really cool to start in the wetlands and work your way down and see the power build as more and more water builds up. I'd recommend doing the upper portion of the river and work your way down. The beaver in the pond swimming around was an added bonus. I always have bad luck and spook them but this guy was easy to watch and the hill with bench provided a nice spot to watch him for a while. The mill locations were cool but what really stood out to me was the incredible collection of cellar holes. If you are a cellar hole junky like me, there are some really nice well preserved ones particularly off the side trail from the mills. Great historic placards with info as you stroll in the historic areas. Also a small collection of family graves. Parking was easy. My only concern would be erosion on the trail leading from the parking lot. We did have heavy rain before I went but I'd like to see that trail stabilized at some point as I imagine it could get messy.
