Had a disheartening experience. All staff have always been super kind, extremely sweet and helpful, however one taller man with brown hair on staff was very rude to me as I waited for my partner. We got to the station early and just made some bathroom trips. As I was waiting for my partner, I noticed the other employees quietly talking to him as he stared at me. He then walked over to me, hunched a bit to my level and said a tad annoyed "I understand you're waiting for your boyfriend but there is no waiting in the station for busses at all." If he knew I was just waiting for my boyfriend and we were taking bathroom breaks I don't understand why he had to scold me for simply waiting. I don't know if the other women at the desk were non-chalantly saying things about my partner and I to the man. I was about to leave with my partner once he got out anyway so the scolding was completely uneccessary. I think it's perfectly reasonable to come in and out for two bathroom breaks and wait for my partner, especially since we got to the center early for our bus.

It seems that there is confusion as to why it was mentioned to you about waiting for your transportation it was for your edification not a scolding as you mentioned you and your partner had been in a out a few times for the restrooms.The Center is not a BUS Station it is a BUS Stop No ticket’s are sold at this location NJ Transit schedules and all contact information for them are provided as a courtesy outside below the BUS Stop signage. We are not affiliated with NJ Transit. So the service provided at this location is information which pertains to the city and business in Cape May only. There is no waiting or seating inside this building for NJ TRANSIT a covered area with benches have been provided outside while you wait for your transportation.

Very helpful and friendly staff, who offer great tips about what to see and do. I watched them interact with an extremely rude and entitled family, and was amazed at their courtesy and patience. (I would have asked them to leave and never come back.)

Was looking for specific information regarding walking trails from the Bird Conservatory to the lighthouse. The agent was was very helpful in explaining there were no trails directly but that there were wooden walkways at the lighthouse which were excellent. She also suggested bird watching excursions through the marshes. She was very friendly and helpful!
