Hunterdon Hospice

I called Hunterdon Hospice at 6:00 pm on a Monday night. By 9:00 pm that same evening, my mother was admitted into the care of Hunterdon Hospice. Early the next morning, supplies were delivered, including a hospital bed. For the next two weeks, her every need was attended to by a wonderful staff of caring nurses and aides. Tyler came whenever we needed her, always with a smile and kind words, and was able to keep us abreast of my mother's progress toward her destination; Tim had a regular schedule, and performed his duties with diligence, gentleness and care; Jennifer, Robin and others filled in where needed. All shared a single goal: to make my mother's final days as peaceful as possible. It's hard to describe how much the staff at Hunterdon Hospice meant to us during this time. Watching a parent dying is a difficult, emotionally-draining and physical-exhausting experience. The staff was there to support us as well as my mother. The wait was difficult, but the end was peaceful and gentle. I will always be thankful to Hunterdon Hospice for giving my mother the dignified death she advocated for everyone as a professor of nursing. Thank you.

Hunterdon Hospice deserves their reputation. From day one, the care, the responsiveness and the quality of attention was absolutely superlative. Most importantly, Cyn our primary nurse, Margaret the director, Carolyn our home health aide, Jen the social worker and the rest of the staff treated us with respect and love. They listened to our concerns, bent over backwards to accommodate our needs, provided expert medical care and educated and partnered with us to get through the horrible process of losing our mother to cancer.  Our mother developed terrible delirium towards the end that made things very difficult.  Hunterdon Hospice kept working with us literally around the clock to make our mother and us as comfortable and cared for as possible. We were perfectly supported by them and cannot imagine how we could have fulfilled our mother's wish to pass at home without them.  As another poster has accurately written, these people are truly angels. We are forever grateful and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The care and compassion from these wonderful nurses, social workers and aids made this extremely difficult time a little easier. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you did for my dad.

Am grateful to Hunterdon Home Hospice. My husband passed in less than a week after a 5 yr fight with cancer. The nurses were great, especially Cyn. Social worker Jen was supportive and informative. Both aides, Raphael and Tim, did a great job keeping my husband clean and safe. Every one including office staff were helpful and gracious with out being too much. I am an RN and had a horrible experience with a different hospice company when my father was dying. I am forever grateful that I choose Hunterdon Hospice to be in my home caring for my husband during the worst days of my life. I would highly recommend them!Beverly A Rogers, RN
