Barkley's Marketplace - Flemington NJ

I try to bring my dog every weekend for his weekly toy and cookies. He loves the store and their cookies. Theyre always very friendly and helpful.

All the employees go out of their way to help you find what you need for your pet. My dog Lady loves walking up to Barkleys as a special treat. I love being able to shop locally where we are treated like family.

Visited for the first time, they seem to have a large selection of food, treats, toys, etc. But I didnt make a purchase because of the sales woman who was giving a dog owner information about food because their dog may be exhibiting signs of a possible allergy (even the owner wasnt sure), telling them that the dog maybe allergic to grains and the grain free study that has shown to cause heart disease in dogs is a lie and old school vets would say the same, also telling them that they need to feed their dog a certain way because dogs are descends from wolves. As someone who is part of the veterinary field I feel the only advice should be to consult their vet before trying to offer any type of medical advice. I understand trying to sell a food but this type of information coming from a person just trying to sell someone dog food is harmful.
