I have homeowner's insurance, car insurance, renter insurance and 4 life policies with LibMutual since the early 90s. The customer service has tanked the past few years. Very disappointing. Their quality of agents leave alot to be desired - the claims reps do not even call you back! Weeks go by!!! Neither does their supervisors! But, boy they have no problems deducting close to 1,000/month from my account for my policies though... time to start shopping around.

I am absolutely disgusted with Liberty Mutual. I switched a little over two years ago, and I deeply regret this choice. My original claims representative took a month to get back to me about an issue I had, and when she did finally get back to me she was nasty and rude. I was told one thing by customer service about the same issue, but a month later they will not abide by what I was told. I have paid for a service for two years that they will not provide now that it is needed. I will be taking my business to another company that actually has customer service.

Zero Stars would be more accurate. My mom passed away. I called to cancel her homeowner's policy after her home was sold. Waited on hold multiple times and finally after about 40 minutes, I was told that they could NOT CANCEL my deceased mother's old homeowner's policy for a home that was owned by a NEW Homeowner. I was told I needed to email them multiple documents, including a death certificate. I waited three weeks, never received a refund. Contacted them and they claim that they credited a canceled credit card that my mom used to have that I do not have access to. Why in the world would a company think a DECEASED person's credit card would be a great place to send a refund? If you are dealing with a deceased person, would it not make sense to confirm with grieving person's family where you are sending a credit? This might make it easier on them? I had to provide multiple forms of documentation to prove that she was deceased. Liberty Mutual pretty much sent the money to the abyss! It would have taken less than TEN SECONDS of time to email me and ask where was the best place to send the refund. Liberty Mutual had the email address as this is where I provided PROOF MY MOTHER WAS DEAD! Logistics dealing with the loss of loved one are multifaceted. Beyond the grief associated with it, there are endless loose ends and paperwork to take care of. The fact that I could not simply close out her homeowner's policy on the phone after being connected to multiple reps and waiting on hold several times. Then to only be told that they can't close a policy without death certificates and other documents. Then I receive this message. Your company is heartless and this action illustrates no care whatsoever and gross incompetence. I requested a similar response like this be sent to the complaint department. I assume my complaint will END UP IN THE ABYSS, much like my mom's refund. Thanks For Nothing Liberty Mutual.

I have been dealing with a bus hitting my vehicle while I was parked in a legal spot for the last 6 weeks I cannot get in touch with my agent assigned to my case her name is Nicole she sucks I wish I could send screenshots of her non-responsiveness
