Chris, I have worked hard for 20 years to build a reputation to which your review does not align. While I respect everyone's opinion, I disagree with yours. That we both live in the same small town has compeled me to provide some additional facts for general consumption. I would have respected you sharing your concerns directly with me and would have gladly discussed the matter. I can only interpret your motives for sharing this on such a public forum as an attack on me personally. As such, I am obliged to respond in kind.We met in late 2021 at your home about a project where we discussed many ideas. You did not sign the design services contract until 2/15/22 after much follow up. I feel the elapsed time directly contributed to shortfalls in "specific items" being retained. Please note the contract stated designing a $30-70K project. We completed the site visit, concept design, and estimate within 3 weeks. Over 6 months we provided exactly 3 written estimates, 4 design set iterations, and 2 construction contract iterations. These iterations were all due to the number of revisions you requested to reduce the project budget. Not until 8/20/22 did you contracted for a $15k project after consuming countless design services resources. Respectfully, I could never have agreed to work together had I appreciated up front the actual budget or that you intended to do much of the work yourself, two facts that became clear over time. I suspect that had you contracted for the full project as originally discussed, things may have gone differently.I will say that the work you have done yourself at your home is beautiful. The waterfall you built and firepit areas are stunning. You have a real talent for this type of work. I admittedly enjoyed watching my design come together as I frequently walked past your home taking my kids back and forth to school. I respect your viewpoint may differ from my own. I hold no animosity towards you and hope to see you around town soon. I would respectfully request that should you have additional grievances, that you reach out directly to me so that we might address your concerns together. I am also happy to discuss the removal of these Google posts should you prefer to have them removed all together as I would.
