    If you value your time and are someone who blocks out a whole day to make sure they can go to a salon I personally do not recommend this or any Ulta. Appointment was canceled by them after having it booked for a few weeks and they were unable to fit me in that original day or the next. I understand that issues with the system happen but they had time to identify the issue and attempt to find a resolution well before I was actually called and told there was nothing that could be done. The only thing I was told was that the stylist I had had never worked that day of the week, a fact that may seem obvious to someone who works with them but as a customer I would not know. I get that it is not the stylists fault and I am not upset with them specifically but I am very very upset with Ulta. I did try to call other Ulta franchises but no one could fit me in on such short notice. Which is extremely heart breaking as this was for a very special occasion honoring another person and the only free days I had available due to an ongoing personal situation. I have been calling other Salons as well but unfortunately 48 hours is way too short notice for pretty much any salon. I admittedly dont go to Ulta Salons (or any salon) often but I have gone several times since high school or about once a year and always had great experiences not only at this location but several others. I also always made sure to tip extra as I understand that not going frequently means that the stylist may have to work a little harder to get me where I want to be. All of these experiences have really been over shadowed as it has made it nearly impossible for me to get the services in time (I have been searching all afternoon). Now I will likely never go back as I also tried to contact corporate customer service to see if they could fit me in at any of the local Ultas, but unfortunately they were even less helpful than this particular location. Again things happen but that does not change the fact that I now cant get my hair done and will either have to give up on it or try to find more time to get it done, all while still missing it for my event. Even if they do happen to respond with a kind reply that will not help in anyway as the date will have already passed and the funds are still stuck in a now seemingly useless gift card. I did even look for appointments at all local Ultas for the entirety of the next week, which is still too late, but there are none available and I am saddened more than anything else. I was also hung up on at this Ulta which I am giving the benefit of the doubt hoping it was just a mistake but it did make me feel a little extra bad all things considered. Edit: After a long chat with corporate I stand by my review and I do not recommend any Ulta to anyone, especially this location as it appears this has happened in the past here and not been resolved. Unfortunately I did not read those reviews prior as I thought my own experiences were enough to trust this business. The only thing they were able to do for me is Take your feedback and improve our processes but they were unable to provide any information about how this is done and who receives the feedback. I wont get that day off back, I wont be able to have my hair done in time for my event, and I have to shop at Ulta at least once more or forfeit the gift card I was given specifically for this event (I asked the giver of the card and they do not want it back and funds cannot be refunded to them as Ulta gift cards are handled through a 3rd party). I will not be shopping at or using Ulta services after that card is used and I encourage others not to as well. And I will ultimately end up giving a gift of equal or greater value to the person who gifted me the card as I feel incredibly guilty for not being able to use it for its intended purpose. Shop small, local businesses instead.

    I've been going to the Ulta Hamilton, NJ location for many years and never had an issue. I know the guy who manages the store and he is always very nice and pleasant. Today however, I went to the store to buy 4 items. I was rung up for 3 of my items which came to $106 by a store associate who was nice but, told me I couldn't use my coupon for $10 off as it excluded prestige products.. kind of frustrating but, no big deal. I had my receipt emailed as I always do. Afterwards, she then rung me up separately for 1 of my other products like I requested and I realized at that time I may have reward money on file. She let me know then that I had $8 in reward money to use so I asked if we could return my last purchase of $106 and re purchase the items so I could use the $8 towards it as it was almost equivalent to the amount that was in the coupon I originally wanted to use. However, the receipt never arrived in my Inbox for some reason. When I asked if they could just void the transaction as it was done only a few minutes ago, she called a manager for help. I didn't get her name but, an older woman with curly, blondish hair and black glasses who said she was the Store Manager approached and was very abrupt and rude. During all of this, she slammed my hair spray down multiple times on the counter and spoke very rudely and rolled her eyes to the store associate who originally rung me up. The woman asked when I purchased the items and that she couldn't return them without a receipt. I told her I purchased the items only a few minutes ago and asked if she could void the transaction. She then said, so I wouldn't lose my points, that she would just return the hair spray and use the reward money on that item. I said okay but, when she rang me up I noticed only $6 was taken off instead of the $8 that I went through this whole hassle for. When I asked her about it she said very rudely, "I told you, you would lose the points you earned if we returned all 3 items so to avoid having you lose all your points, I only returned the 1 item." I didn't realize at the time, this meant that my reward money would also decrease from $8 to $6 and didn't think this was fair since "the return" was of no fault of my own. The purpose of the return was to make an adjustment so I could use the $8 that was available to me in my original transaction. She kept going back and forth with me and I was starting to get very upset as there was a whole line behind me and I never imagined this would turn into such an issue. The guy I know who also manages the store came by as I was visibly upset. I told him I would never cause an issue like this as I'm a long time customer but, the woman who claimed she was a Store Manager was extremely rude and never told me specifically that my reward money would decrease to $6 just because we were trying to return and re purchase my items so I could use the $8 that was originally available to me. The woman then visibly frustrated, said, "Fine, I'll just give you the extra $2 then." I was reimbursed and left extremely upset. Then, as I was driving out of the parking lot, I saw both the guy Store Manager and woman Store Manager outside smoking, speaking very animatedly and the woman was waving her hands around visibly angry making it clear they were talking about me / what just happened. I was floored by the carelessness and unprofessionalism of them to walk outside of the store and act that way when it was obvious I would be leaving the parking lot at that time and would see them. Needless to say, I will never be going back to this location again. I highly suggest going to the Ulta in Princeton, NJ. Their stock is much better and they are always very nice and have great customer service. I don't know what's happened to the Hamilton location but, the way they treat customers is completely unacceptable.
